Ben Salmon

Ben is a Founder and Partner of AGP Sustainable Real Assets, he Chairs the Group’s Investment Committee and Group Board of Directors. AGP is focused on the development and operation of sustainable real assets, fundamental to the future of decarbonisation of industries. 

Ben co-founded Assetz Property Group (Assetz) in 2005, and as Chairman plays a pivotal role across functions of the group, including sustainable development of communities, data centres, warehousing and large-scale commercial townships. Assetz is one of the largest foreign-owned real-estate development companies in India.

Prior to founding Assetz, Ben was a Senior Executive with the Lend Lease Group and managed offices and operations in Korea, Japan, India and Australia.

Nick was a key mentor, friend and confidant to Ben. Ben arrived in Seoul in early 2001, bright-eyed at the age of 27 and quickly found Nick then running Macquarie Korea. The Australian expatriate scene was small and dominated by a few Australian businesses. Nick took Ben under his rather large wing, as he so generously did with a lucky few. Living a stone throw away from each other and having many adventures, Ben was honoured to be groomsman at Nick and Sam's wedding in 2004. Ben happily credits Nick aka Baron, Buddha, NvG for being one of the driving forces behind his move out of the comfort of Lend Lease and the formation of the Assetz business. Starting a real estate investment and development business in India -  great idea!
