Samantha van Gelder

Samantha has over 15 years of investment and advisory experience across Asia, Australia and New Zealand. She began her career at Macquarie Bank in 1995 where she met Nick in 1997. She later worked at ABN Amro in their real estate group, focused on mergers & acquisitions, equity capital markets and debt capital markets. In 2000, she moved to Korea with Nick where she worked at Lazard and focused on corporate advisory and mergers & acquisitions. During her time with Lazard, Samantha was seconded to Sydney to establish Lazard’s investment banking presence in Australia.

Samantha has a Bachelor of Economics (Finance & Economics) from Macquarie University.

Life with Nick was never dull. Sam and Nick had big life dreams. They travelled the world together, created memories together and had adventures together. They were married in 2004 and have two beautiful daughters, Alexandra and Anna, Nick’s greatest legacy.  

Samantha van Gelder is a founding member and director of the Nick van Gelder Dreamers Foundation.
